The Florida State College at Jacksonville BlueWave hit the road to Gainesville to face the Saints of Santa Fe College in the first game of their series.
Santa Fe got on the board early on a single on a 3-2 count that scored one run. It wasn't until the top of the fourth the BlueWave would score one run, but the Saints matched it keeping the 2-1 lead. Neither team would come back alive until the sixth when FSCJ added another run to the board. But the Santa Fe Saints then took the lead for good after adding five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning. Trying to rally back in the top of the eighth FSCJ fell short despite crossing one more run over the plate.
FSCJ racked up five hits, Trey Spratling-Williams and Kevin Long all managed multiple hits.
