Coach Yantin begins his first year with the Blue Wave Volleyball program as Head Coach after serving as the Assistant Coach in 2016.  Coach Yantin made the most out of his first year as head coach in the fall of 2017 by taking the team to a 16-9 overall record and a first place finish in the Panhandle Conference with a record of 7-1.  In addition, Coach Yantin was named Panhandle Conference Coach of the Year. The team qualified for the FCSAA Region 8 tournament for the first time since 2010.  Coach Yantin also recruited and coached Kaylon Cruickshank, Sophomore Middle Blocker (Port-of-Spain, Trinidad) who was selected as a member of the  NJCAA All-American First Team.  Cruickshank was previously selected as Player of the Year for the Panhandle Conference in the State of Florida and an All-Region member for the NJCAA FCSAA Region 8. Joining Cruickshank on the All-Region team was Nicolette Ramos, Freshman outside hitter (Jacksonville, Florida).  

Prior to FSCJ, Coach Yantin served as a beach and indoor volleyball coach with the Vaqueros Volleyball Club in Puerto Rico while serving as the Athletic Director and Volleyball Coach at Jardin de la Merced School in Bayaman, Puerto Rico.  Prior to that, he served as the Head Coach for the American University of Bayamon from 2011-2013 and the Assistant Men’s Coach at Metropolitan College (UMET) in 2015.  Coach Yantin also served as a Physical Education teacher and both the male and female Head Coach for Beach and Indoor Volleyball at Carmen Sol School (2008-2014). 

In 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008, Coach Yantin was the Junior Beach Volleyball Champion and MVP for Puerto Rico.  He and his partner won the 2006 AAU Beach Volleyball Gold Championship, the first pair from Puerto Rico to ever win that tournament.  In 2008, 2009 and 2010, Jordan and his partner were crowned as the Puerto Rico University Beach Volleyball Champions. 

Coach Yantin holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Education from American University in Puerto Rico.
