FCSAA Defensive Player of the Week
Florida State College at Jacksonville's Sharon Ayala is this week's NJCAA Region 8/FCSAA Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week. Ayala, a freshman from Toa Baja, Puerto Rico, averaged 5.6 digs over 18 sets and five matches during the voting period. To start the week, she led the Blue Wave to a pair of victories against nationally-ranked Mid-Florida Conference opponents. Ayala recorded 21 digs against in the Blue Wave's first-ever win against No. 8 Central Florida (September 30) then added 25 against No. 9 Daytona State (October 2). Later in the week, she posted 27 digs against Polk State for her state-leading eighth entry into the 25-Dig Club. Read more

Florida State College offers a diverse program of intercollegiate athletics. Students may participate in the collegewide intercollegiate athletic program regardless of the campus where they attend classes. Students interested in participation should contact the coach or the Director of Athletics.
The Florida State College Golf Classic is held each spring to provide scholarship assistance to the BlueWave student athletes. More than 100 individuals and 40 businesses come together to participate in a day of great golf and fellowship.Golf Classic
